I just want to start off by saying that I am not an experienced mechanic and not really tech savvy. I am the original owner of my 1987 Chevy Silverado 4x4 Truck and have taken a great deal of care in keeping this vehicle in good condition. Always doing the proper maintenance such as oil changes, etc.
When my transmission recently went bad after 175k miles I was very hesitant about where I would find a reliable, quality replacement. After surfing the net and flipping through various magazines, the name that kept popping up was Monster Transmission. I must say I was not very familiar with the company however they have alot of good feedback everywhere I searched, including the Better Business Bureau.
I called them along with my mechanic to discuss my application and what we wanted. The staff was very helpful and took a great deal of time with me to make sure I was completely satisfied. After speaking with their technical department and learning about their test driving procedures I was very comfortable with placing my order.
Approximately 2 days after placing my order I received a telephone call from a friendly representative with the tracking number for my order and then another 3 days I received my new 700r4 transmission and torque converter.
The packaging was simply beautiful and my mechanic said it was the cleanest transmission he had ever seen. Shortly after, the transmission was installed and adjusted according to the instructions provided by monster. They made it very easy to understand and the transmission installation was completed about an hour and a half later by my mechanic.
I had a smile from ear to ear when we took it for the road test. It had the nice firm shifts that we requested but not too rough to be uncomfortable. I purposely waited about 6 months before writing a review on here to make sure the transmission was going to continue performing as good as it was.
I cannot thank Monster enough for their outstanding service and quality they provided. I, aswell as my mechanic highly recommend Monster Transmission to anyone needing a transmission. Thank you.
